How it happened.

I don't think I've ever shared why I became interested in missions in the first place.

Surrender your suffering.

"Suffering means being cut off from God. Therefore, those who live in communion with Him cannot really suffer."

In the fog.

This photo. This photo is a visible representation of how I feel in these first days of 2020.

Laugh.

"Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then it was said among the nations, the Lord has done great...

Farewell address...

As I come to the conclusion of my four months here in Uganda, it's difficult for me to put into words what this experience has meant to me.

Advent.

I think we put so much pressure on ourselves to craft the perfect Christmas that we forget how to celebrate the true joy of the season.

Back to buvuma.

From the moment that our little boat nudged into the shore of Buvuma Island, I could tell that something was different.

Thank you, lord.

Gloria ran her fingers down the freshly painted walls of her new bedroom, knowing that she had found refuge at last.

There is freedom in forgiveness.

It's taken me awhile to find the words to share about my experience at the different refugee settlements I visited two weeks ago.

The very best words.

"I want to give God the best words that I can possibly think of."

How to prove your faith.

Somewhere amidst all the chaos, I've been reading a book by Helen Roseveare called "Living Faith." It's all about asking God to stir us.

Listen to the gospel need.

I just think it is so cool that 12 countries were represented at one church!

Walk with him.

It's crazy to think that two months ago today I was just arriving in Kampala. It's just as crazy to think that I'll be home in that time.

Where the sidewalk ends.

This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to go on safari with some really wonderful people, and let me tell ya, it was WILD (hehe).

Rest easy, kiddo.

Here's what doesn't feel good: rest. I didn't want to talk about this but I have the overwhelming feeling that I should, so here we go.

All the things.

This is a list of fun things that I've heard, smelled, seen, or learned in Uganda, as seen by an East Tennessee girl. Buckle up kids.

God is good.

God is good, y'all.

Bigger bubbles.

I have decided to share with you the ways that the Lord has comforted my heart with the familiar.
